PRELIMINARY SERVICES

  • 1. Assistance towards Architects/Interior Designers and Corporate Owners in the selection of the Stones
  • 2. Technical Examination of the quarries or of the stone supllier’s facilities,resources and equipment in order to check if they are adequate,readily available and of the quality required
  • 3. Assistance in the outsourcing and location of possible alternative material to be eventually considered with regards to availabilty and/or cost issues with the orginally selected stone
  • 4. Technical advise as to the properties and suitability of the material selected
  • 5. Assistance in the interpretation and examination of the tests performed on the stones with regards to the specified performance criteria
  • 6. Assistance in the preparation of the examination criteria for the stone selection and approval of the range samples
  • 7. Inspection of the slab range and other samples of all stone material,finished and details
  • 8. Inspection and review of the Production of the stone for visual mock-ups or dry lays so as to ensure that the proposed range of colour,texture and finishes matches exactly the range of samples approved by the Customer
  • 9. Assistance towards the Customer during approval of the range selected which will form the basis of all QC/QA inspections carried out during fabrication
  • 10. Conduction of regular meetings with the stone supplier/fabricator or quarry in order to facilitate a professional co-ordination with the Customer


    • QUALITY CONTROL ASSURANCE PROGRAM DURING FABRICATION AND PROCESSING

  • 1. Review and comment on the Main Contractor and Stone Supplier as per QA/QC programme and testing regime
  • 2. Inspection and review of the blocks selected by the Stone Supplier so as to ensure complete conformance with the selected range samples and conformance with the initial specifications
  • 3. Complete review of the stone selection from the Quarry and/or supplier during the prduction and fabrication so as to ensure compliance with the previously selected range and architectual specifications
  • 4.Conduction of QC check and Inspections of the stone selection to ensure that the stone is supplied from sound stock in order to eliminate natural and unnatural defects such as cracks;flaws or any kind of imperfections whcih will impair strength,durability or esthetical appearance
  • 5.Conduction of checks, inspections and selection during fabrication so as to ensure that the stone falls within the colour,texture,grain dimensions and variation as represented by the approval range(s),specifications and approved shop drawings etc..
  • 6. Conduction of checks,inspection and selection during fabrication of the stone during the various stages of the processing so as to ensure that the final stone is in conformance with the initial specifications,the approved shop drawings and other associated documents. This inspection regime includes as well the inspection of dry lays/installations.
  • 7. Ensurance and coordination with regards to the production and shipment of the stone as per the approved schedules by the customer in terms of timing,priorities and other eventual specific instructions related to the job site
  • 8. Ensurance with regards to the adequate marking and crating of the stone prior to shipements
  • 9. Ensurance with regards to the adequate documentation to be positionned in the crates as per the approved shop drawings,shop tickets or any other specific instructions related to installations purposes
  • 10. Maintenance of an inventory and the submission of the same to the Customer with regards to the departure and arrival dates of shipping vessels
  • 11. Elaboration and provision of regular weekly reports, issued in pdf formats, regarding the selection,fabrication,production and shipping of the stones
  • 12. Maintenance of a full library of immages and all documents related to the inspection and fabrication processes as supplementary material to the Regular Reports
